Capitola Birds
A Great Egret, an American Coot and at least two types of seagulls gather on the shores of the Soquel Creek as it enters into the Monterey Bay in Capitola. The small stretch of Capitola Beach left dry during a high tide and storm runoff didn’t deter the birds, in addition to the birds in this image, numerous other birds shared the sand, including yellow headed brown pelicans.
Disclaimer: I am no bird expert. I believe that I have correctly identified these birds, but they are part of familiar looking sub species. And I have been wrong about birds before…
